High School Student Athletes

Kenya: High Altitude Training, Service, and Safari!
Program 1: June 27 - July 20 Closed
Program 2: July 21 - Aug. 13 Closed
In each of our programs, students will:
• Train in the temperate (avg. 70 degrees)
high altitude (8000 ft)of Iten, Kenya
• Run daily on dirt trails alongside world class
athletes, developing a strong base for cross
country season
• Meet Olympian and world champion Lornah
Kiplagat (who currently holds the world
records for the 5000 meter road race, 10
mile, 20,000 road race, and half marathon)
• Stay and train at the internationall
renowned High Altitude Training Centre
with its world class gym and olympic sized
swimming pool
• Help the community by volunteering with
Kenyan students and renovating a local
school
• Explore Kenya's Great Rift Valley, and
experience the excitement of seeing Africa's
wildlife on safari.
This is the experience of a lifetime for high school runners. The cost of $3900 for almost 4 weeks (not including international airfare) includes all domestic transportation, chaperones, coaching, meals, accommodation, and safaris.

Join other student athletes in volunteering and discovering the world with STRIVE, an organization focused on providing students aged 15 - 19 with the opportunity to travel, explore, and volunteer, while maintaining a rigorous training schedule
